If you flick on your terrestrial radio, you'll notice very few programs focus solely on '80s metal sounds. Thankfully, Harlan Hendrickson is doing his best to change all that. His 'Monsters of Rock' radio program first debuted in the summer of 1999, and has since developed a large and loyal listenership. The show is nationally syndicated through United Stations Radio Network (the same great company that syndicates shows from the legendary Dick Clark, CNN's Lou Dobbs, Alice Cooper, original MTV VJ Nina Blackwood, and fellow headbanger Dee Snider). Broadcast from Hollywood, Monsters of Rock can be heard from New York to California, with more stations constantly being added. And the numbers certainly don't lie - Monsters of Rock currently holds the number-one or number-two slot among males 25-54 on most of the stations that carry it. Recent guests on Monsters of Rock have included of Cheap Trick, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Ratt, Poison, and many others. "There's no need to be embarrassed anymore for loving Arena Rock," explains the show's host.

"It's the classic rock of a new generation. Kids that are my age know that this music was their Zeppelin and Stones of the day. But people aren't getting it when they turn on the radio. I quench their thirst."

So if you're searching for the sounds of Kiss, Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Guns N' Roses, and Bon Jovi, you now know which station will quench your hair metal thirst. MONSTERS OF ROCK!
