Meet Our Beautiful Ship... The MSC Poesia
The MSC Poesia
“Italian for Poetry” provides a serene, almost “yacht-like” setting to
relax and enjoy the finer things in life. Truly one of the loveliest
vessels constructed in the last decade, your floating resort allows you
to do as much or as little as you desire. Enjoy Italian-influenced
cuisine, a wonderful sushi bar, enchanting Balinese spa or simply
luxuriate by the pool…the choice is yours.
One of the first things you will notice as
you board this remarkable vessel is the beauty and attention to detail.
Every inch of the ship is gorgeous and showcases public rooms and
cabins that are made from the highest quality materials, combined in
tasteful combinations. Furthermore, the Poesia is also one of the
cleanest ships afloat as the Italian crew constantly works to keep
everything in perfect order, providing guests with a pristine, floating
sanctuary. It was only fitting that this beautiful lady was christened
by Italian icon and internationally acclaimed actress Sophia Loren.
Sailing aboard the Poesia you will
pampered in a setting of European charm and ambiance, as we visit the
emerald waters and tropical landscapes of the Bahamas. It really is
like taking a European vacation without leaving North America. Great
ship, great friends and Monster Rockers in a setting that cannot be beat…we just can’t sail without you!

10 Reasons Why The MSC Poesia is the World’s Best Cruise Ship For Metal Cruises
-
Best Performance Theater
– From the stage size to acoustics to unobstructed sightlines, the MSC
Poesia is the best floating theater on the planet. It’s the music that
matters! According to Sound Production expert William Deavers of
www.LoudAndClear.com, “The MSC Poesia is simply the best cruise ship venue in the world for Rock and Metal shows, bar none.”
-
Best Aft Performance Lounge – Flexible, multi-use lounge with more than adequate power for the demands of heavy metal.
-
Best Open Deck Performance Venue – Expansive, open deck area with plenty of stable electrical power. Again, clean power means great music quality.
-
Many Cruise Lines Hate Metal
– Quite frankly, many cruise lines don’t like metal. MSC is a great
partner and is focused on continued improvement of the Rock and Metal
cruise experience. We will likely add an additional cruise line partner
for future programs in the months to come but not until they can
sufficiently illustrate their commitment to our valued music fans.
-
Beautiful, Clean Ship
– You will not find a more beautiful and clean vessel anywhere. The
impact of a metal festival on a ship is significant and MSC works hard
to keep the Poesia perfect year after year.
-
Expanded Food Options
– MSC is working to add new flexibility to food options for its’ Rock
and Metal cruise guests. This will include new food offerings and
expanded hours in 2012. In addition, new bar service deployment
alternatives will continue to improve service levels.
-
Onboard Service – Since the MSC Poesia
is a European vessel, many of the staff is also from Europe (same is
true of most cruise lines). Cruise passengers (back in 2008-2009)
encountered language barriers, which was mistaken for rudeness. This is
not the case today, as MSC has improved language issues through
training and hiring practices.
-
Food Continues To Evolve – Once again, the MSC Poesia
is a European vessel and the cuisine was originally designed for
European tastes. Without question, we have observed a steady
improvement and “Americanization” of the cuisine, which has radically
changed since 2009. Some of the harsh comments we have seen in recent
social media posts are based upon old experiences and are not relevant
today. In fact, several our staff have recently experienced the Poesia
and were unanimously impressed!
-
Look To The Future –
MSC is the fastest growing cruise line in the world and will continue
expansion into North America. This is good news for Metal and Rock fans
because new and exciting ship options are on the horizon!
-
MSC Is A Valued Partner –
MSC President and CEO, Richard Sasso is committed partner who values
the Rock and Metal crowd business. He has a personal belief in this
growing segment of the cruise business and will stand by us in the years
to come. We will continue to work with Rick and his team to make your
experiences better each and every year. Let’s make the first Monsters of Rock Cruise the greatest shipboard event in history!

What Others Are Saying (Poesia Reviews) |
We think the MSC Poesia provides the perfect, intimate setting for the Monsters of Rock Cruise. In our opinion it is the best value in cruising today and like a fine wine, gets better with age!! But don’t take our word for it…here’s what others have recently commented…
|
| |
Eden Zamora, Review 0f MSC Poesia
“MSC Poesia is the most modern, classy,
elegant, clean and sophisticated cruise ship ever. The shows are great,
sumptuous food, and staff members are very warm and friendly. The
artistic touch and Italian interior of the vessel made me feel as if I
was in Venice, Italy. ‘A Taste of Italy’ is how I described MSC Poesia.
My family were truly happy, satisfied and we can't wait to board other
MSC Cruise Ships in future to the Mediterranean this time. ”
|
| |
Michael and Susan Gates, Review of the MSC Poesia
“We were not disappointed…The MSC cruising
experience affords tremendous value for the money, is underrated for the
quality, and represents an unbeatable cruising opportunity. We cannot
wait to book our next cruising vacation with MSC.”
|
| |
|
|
Mike Sweetman, Review of MSC Poesia
“On January 30, we embarked on a seven-day,
Caribbean cruise in celebration of our 10-year wedding anniversary. To
describe our experience as ‘beyond expectations’ is the understatement
of a lifetime, and does not do justice to the astonishing capacity of
warmth and welcome your Poesia family possesses.”
|
| |
Ken and Carol Jeffery, Review of Food/Dining on MSC Poesia
We loved the food! We took all our evening (and many
lunch) meals in the Le Fontane Dining Room. We found the menu offerings
to include a lot of variety. We especially appreciated the authentic
Italian offerings each day. The food was well prepared and delicious!
The dining room wait staff gave us excellent service without being
overbearing and met the needs of our group of 15 without missing a
beat.”
|
| |
Lorraine Weston, Review of Food/Dining on MSC Poesia
“My husband and I recently returned from a seven-day
cruise on MSC Poesia. We loved the ship and the food was absolutely
wonderful! We would highly recommend MSC. We have been on several
cruises on four other lines and we think your food was some of the best
we've ever had. The Gala Buffet, which has been discontinued on most
lines, was something to see! We also thought the ship was spotless and
no water spots on the balcony... great job!”
